Welcome to our demonstration in Stjørdal Harbour October 29th and 31st.
Exercise Trident Juncture is well on its way, with more than 50.000 soldiers from 29 different countries participating. One of The Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI)'s contributions is a demonstration on how new technology can be used to improve surveillance and protection of military installations.
At the Trident Juncture Logistics base in Stjørdal Harbour, we will demonstrate a concept using advanced sensor technology, remotely controlled weapon systems, drone countermeasures, and autonomous vehicles. We will also demonstrate how spare parts can be 3D-printed in the field and distributed to soldiers using drones.
– We want to showcase some opportunities that new technology offers. Some of the elements in our concept are ready to be put to use, some require further research and development, Jens Inge Hyndøy, research manager at FFI says.
The demonstration is a collaboration between FFI, ACT (NATO Allied Command Transformation) and more than 20 different companies in the defense industry.
FFI would like to wish the audience, the press, future partners to the Armed Forces, as well as the industry, welcome.
