Request for Information: Drone Program Land Seeks Updated Information from Industry

Drone Program Land (DPL), together with the Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency (NDMA) and the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI), is seeking updated information on mature industry solutions that align with the Norwegian Army’s roadmap for unmanned systems.

About the Initiative

DPL aims to gain updated insight into available and emerging capabilities within unmanned systems relevant to land military operations. The purpose of this request for information (RFI) is to establish a timely understanding of the market, identify relevant technologies and solutions, map relevant suppliers and competence environments, and provide a foundation for future activities related to research, innovation, testing, and experimentation.

This RFI is not a competitive procurement process and does not imply any commitment to future acquisition.

All entities responding to this request for information will be evaluated. Please note that detailed individual feedback will not be provided at this stage. The information received will instead be used as a basis for future calls, initiatives, and activities conducted by FFI.

Relevant solutions include, but are not limited to:

  • Unmanned systems with Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities.
  • Unmanned systems with strike capabilities.
  • Unmanned systems with counter-unmanned system (C-UxS) capabilities.

Qualification Requirements

We are primarily seeking companies and consortia that meet the following criteria:

  • Have mature solutions that can be rapidly tested in demanding operational environments.
  • Are competitive within the broader allied defence market.
  • Demonstrate the ability to rapidly implement and adapt technology for military applications.
  • Focus on security, durability, and ease of use.

Application Deadline and Process

Interested parties are requested to complete the application form. Select the program DPL RFI.

It is important that applicants also complete a Quad Chart (one page only) containing supplementary information.

Application deadline: 15 October 2026.

All submissions will be evaluated.

Detailed individual feedback will not be provided.

This is not a procurement competition and does not create any obligations for DPL. The information submitted may be used in connection with future procurement activities.
