Important information

  • Google maps might not give you the best directions. Follow blue rutes on the maps published here on the spesific location information pages (linkes below). And look for AWE signs. 
  • Lunch will be served in the exhibition hall between 1130 and 1230​
    (Included in the 450 NOK registration fee. Must be paid at registration Monday).
  • Always wear your AWE badge visible during the event. Please bring passport or MIL ID.​
  • NO pictures of personnel. Pictures of equipment, only if allowed by the vendor.​
    No posting on social media​.
  • Please show up ON time, we are on a tight schedule. Start up 0830 am.​
  • Drive safely and show caution. Roads may be slippery!​
  • MILITARY is main audience!
    This is a military facility and freedom of movement will be limited and somewhat restricted for our industry participants. Please make sure to follow instructions from the NOR hosts and that you remain at your designated area unless instructed otherwise.

Administrative remarks

Travel

The event will take place in Elverum / Rena, located 2 hours north of Oslo​​

A rental car is required for transportation to/from the event, as well as transfer between the various locations during the event. We encourage car-pooling due to limited parking. ​

Registration and access pass at arrival

Event registration will take place at Elgstua Hotel in Elverum Monday the 23rd  from 1600-2100.​​ Bring valid military ID, passport or equivalent.​​

For daily access to meals at Camp Rødsmoen, payment must be done at registration.

Location

The main part of event will take place at Camp Rødsmoen in Rena. Camp Rødsmoen is a exercise area (Not the Military camp Rena Leir). To get there from Elerum, drive to Rena on road RV3. Take the road FV215, cross Rena bridge and keep on FV215 for 5,5 km, Make a left and cross the dam at Løpsjøen. Follow AWE signs.​

Experiments will be conducted in the area in vicinity of Camp Rødsmoen.

Transport during the event

A car/rental car is required for transportation to/from the event, as well as transfer between the various locations during the event. We encourage car-pooling due to limited parking.​​

Use caution when driving! It is winter conditions and roads may be slippery.

Environment and clothing

Elverum/Rena is known for its cold winters. Temperature might drop to below-20 Celsius, in case of milder temperatures expect windy conditions and precipitation.

Bring warm clothes and boots, hat/beanie and mittens. We seek to do experiments outdoors, bring clothes so activity isn’t limited by your endurance in the cold.
