Defence Systems

This division shall make proposals for and ensure the realisation of conceptual solutions, system solutions and technological solutions that change the Armed Forces.

The work is carried out in line with the long-term plan for the defence sector, the Land Force Study, the Cyber and ICT Study and “FFI’s Vision 2025”.

The division shall support materiel procurements of significance for the Armed Forces’ operational capacity in all phases of the life cycle. Special attention will be given to joint operational capacity and use of new technologies.

Joining projects in groups across branches of the Armed Forces will better facilitate successful implementation.
